Here’s another fun and easy project you just have to create! šŸ˜€

I was inspired by a great creator Lee Lexi Creations with this adorable Kite!

Once I saw hers it brought back so many memories of growing up and we would create so many kites using newspapers and we would get so excited trying to make the longest tails possible!

We actually got those Kites up in the sky such fun times!

I absolutely loveĀ being able to create something special with leftover items and bring them back to life as something totally different and simply beautiful!

This Patriotic Kite pretty much knocks it out of the ballpark!

So I know you have some leftover material hanging around!

Let’s pull some out and make this adorable Kite!

Supplies You’ll Need:

  • Skewers or Branches

  • Scissors

  • Hot glue

  • Material of your choice

  • Twine

  • Hang Tag

  • Button or whatever bling you want to use

Gather your material.

You can make it Patriotic šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø or you can make it Summery ā˜€ļø or even make a Fall šŸKite how adorable would that be!

I got my skewers together you can use branches too .

Here is the size I made mine .

My middle skewer is 9ā€

The two bottom sides skewers are 6ā€

The two top side skewers are 5ā€

The skewer that goes across the middle 7ā€

You can make it as big as you want just remember to always make the bottom part of the Kite longer.

In order to make it a little more sturdy I covered it with a piece of material I used this gauge type material but you can use any piece of cloth you have handy.

I then started adding my material on .

I glued each piece on . Cut your pieces to fit your skewer shapes.

Once I finished I grunged it up a little with my favorite wax!

Dixie Belle Brown wax.

I love this grunge look!

I then made my bow. I gave it long tails!

I cut my tag from a brown envelope I had.

I painted a simple flag on it .

I grunged it up of course!

I added a little twine to the tails and I tied little pieces of material on the middle piece of the tail to resemble a kite tail!

Once I was done with it I attached my bow on . I glued a button in the middle of my bow too!

Then I added a little drop of glue and put my fun tag on !

The total length of my Kite from top to bottom. 21ā€

This Kite is just so adorable!

This is such a fun way to add handmade charm to your decor!

I’m always so excited to share these creative, budget-friendly ideas with you. I hope you give this project a try and create several of these super fun Kites! 🪁
