I thoroughly enjoy crafting unique items, and it's even more exciting when I can transform inexpensive finds into something delightful, like these charming glass bowls!
For this project, gather these supplies:
Four small glass bowls (I found mine at The Dollar Store for only $1.25 for four).
E-6000 glue
Corn Starch
Acrylic or Chalk paint in your preferred colors (I chose Antique White and Brown).
Ribbon
Embellishments of your choice
Hot Glue
Here's the step-by-step process:
Step 1. Gluing the bowls together
Glue two bowls together using E-6000, allowing them to set overnight for a secure bond.
Make sure you let them dry completely.
Step 2. Mixing the Paint
Mix Antique White paint with approximately 1 tsp of Corn Starch for a thicker consistency, then apply a smooth coat to the glued bowls. Repeat with Brown paint on the other set.
I don't like it runny or too thick you want a nice smooth consistency.
I then applied a coat of it on the bowls .
I only needed to apply one coat of paint it covers really well .
I did the brown paint the same way .
Allow both sets to completely dry.
Step 3. Preparing lids for the top.
I painted the chosen lids (from spice containers, water bottles, or glitter bottles) with Brown paint.
I then painted them Brown and sprinkled Cinnamon on them while they were still wet .
I then sprinkled Cinnamon on while wet, and sealed them with Minwax Sealer.
You can stack them create the top .
Step 4. Using a little cornstarch.
Before adding ribbon, rub a bit of Corn Starch on the Brown bell for a pottery look.
Step 5. Adding embellishments .
I used black and white check ribbon to create a hanger and bows. I then added a thin coat of sealer, sprinkle some glitter while they were wet on both of the tops of the Bells.
Look how adorable your creation is turning out.!
I added artificial greenery for a finishing touch.
This project is quick, easy, and budget-friendly. The result? Beautiful faux bells that you can replicate. I repeated the process and fell in love with the outcome!
They are just beautiful!!
I just love how these Faux Bells came out !
I hope you decide to give them a try !
