DIY Firecrackers

Here’s another fun and easy project using recycled wine corks!

I absolutely love crafting with corks! I’m lucky to have a few sweet friends who save theirs for me, so I rarely have to buy any.

If you’re looking for some, try asking local restaurants or places that serve wine—they’re usually happy to share!

Just look at these adorable little firecrackers you can make with them! Aren’t they the cutest?


Supplies You’ll Need:

  • 5 to 6 corks

  • Scissors

  • Hot glue

  • Red, White and Blue chalk or acrylic paint

  • Small wooden beads or anything you want to use for the top embellishment

  • Twine

  • Napkins

  • Book pages

  • Elmer’s glue

  • Eye hooks

  • Brown wax

I had a red striped napkin so I used that to cover a couple of the cork.

I used old bookpages I had leftover from another project for the other corks!

I then painted red stripes on them .

I also painted the blue squares too.

I then dotted the white on them for stars .

I used these eye hooks for the top.

This makes it easy to string them up.

I used my twine and started tying them to a small branch .


I also tied a piece of twine to the branch to use as a hanger .

I added a large wooden bead to decorate it a little.


I then grunged them up a little.

I also wrapped some twine around them . I just love this look!

That’s it look how adorable these came out!

Perfect for you to display anywhere you want a little festive look!
