DIY Whimsical Flower Banner

I just love creating beautIful items with things I already have ! Like this Banner it is a perfect piece hung across your Mantle place. Or even draped across your Headboard! It’s easy to make and you can customize it anyway you want! Here is what you need …..

Two different materials. I used Lace and a cream material

Ribbons

Buttons

Jude

Wooden Beans

Hot Glue

So here we go ! Cut your material about 4” wide and about 18 to 20” long .

Fold you material in half the long way and glue towards the edge . Use finger protectors for this part so you won’t burn your fingers!

Snip your strip.

Cut out a circle I used this container to trace one out. Mine was 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.

Start gluing your material on the edge of your circle!

You will need 3 rows so cut your strips as you need them .

Cut your last strip at 2” x 15

Fold and glue like before.

Snip this one too.

This time you will glue and start rolling it . This will make the center of your flower!

You are now going to glue it in the middle of your flower!

I made 3 of these flowers.

You are now going to cut out your flags.. I cut 7 total .. Each flag was about 6” wide and 10” long then I folded them in half and cut the bottom into a Dove tail cut.. just cut from the bottom corner to the middle don‘t cut to high … Do each one and put aside …

Measure a piece of Jude mine was about 6 ft long . I stung my first set of Wooden Beads before putting my flag on . Here’s the beads I used. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S43PBRR/?tag=fatimaholland-20

I glued my flags as I went putting the beads in between them .

I then picked the ribbons I wanted to use and glued them on .. You can decorate your which ever way you would like…

I love buttons so I picked out some of those too!

I tied some ribbon on each end ! I also made a loop with the Jude for it to be easier to hang!
