I absolutely love this project! These little birds are just the cutest things!
Made from scrap wood and a few odds and ends, they’re a perfect way to get creative with what you have on hand.
The best part? The sky’s the limit with this fun and budget-friendly DIY!
Supplies you need:
• Scrap wood you can use cardboard if you like as well
• paint of your choosing
• embellishments of your choosing
• hot glue
• ivory paint of your choosing
• Dixie Belle brown wax
Here’s the pattern I used.
I used different pieces of scrap wood I had on hand .
For one bird I used this faux tin tile to cover one of them .
I had this adorable handle in my stash box that I thought was perfect for the wing.
I used a snap for the eye .
I traced my pattern from my tile .
I painted it with this ivory paint.
I covered it well and let it dry .
Then I grunged it with Dixie Belle brown wax.
Once I glued the tin piece to my bird I went ahead and glued my wing!
Then I glued my snap for the eye.
I drilled a hole at the bottom to stick a skewer in it !
There you go how adorable is that !
I tied a little twine on it !
So adorable! I just love it!
