Crochet Pumpkin Garland: A Little String of Fall Happiness š§¶šš

Thereās just something about handmade fall decorations that makes a home feel extra cozy! šš And this little crocheted pumpkin garland is such a fun and simple project to add a touch of autumn to your home.
I made 15 little pumpkins using orange yarn and added green yarn for their tiny stems. Then I used thin twine to create the chain connecting all of the pumpkins together.
The finished garland would be adorable hanging across a mantel, on a shelf, around a doorway, or even tucked into a fall display. And because the pumpkins are so small, you can make this project fairly quickly!

Single crochet (sc) into the magic ring.
Crochet 8 double crochets (dc) into the ring.
Finish by making a single crochet (sc) back into the ring.
Chain 1 and fasten off.
Give your yarn a gentle pull to close the center of the pumpkin.
Repeat these steps until you have 15 little pumpkins.
šæ Add the Green Stems

Now it's time to give those little pumpkins their stems!
Using your green yarn:
Join the yarn in the middle of the pumpkin.
Chain 4.
Make a half double crochet (hdc) in the 2nd chain from the hook.
Make another hdc in the 3rd chain.
Make another hdc in the 4th chain.
Single crochet back into the middle of the pumpkin.
Chain 1 and fasten off.
And there you have itāa tiny green pumpkin stem! šæš

š§¶ Putting the Garland Together

Once all 15 pumpkins have their stems, it's time to turn them into a garland.
I used thin twine to connect my pumpkins.
Start by chaining 15.
Then slip stitch (sl st) the first pumpkin onto the garland at the top of the stem.
Important: Make sure you have the pumpkins facing the right direction before joining them so they all face the same way. š
After attaching each pumpkin, chain 15 before attaching the next pumpkin.
Continue this pattern:
15 chains ā pumpkin ā 15 chains ā pumpkin ā 15 chains ā pumpkin
Keep going until all 15 pumpkins are attached.
After attaching the last pumpkin, chain another 15 so that the ends of your garland match.
For easy hanging, you can make a loop at each end of the garland.
A Little Handmade Fall Magic
I love projects like this because they don't have to be complicated to make a big impact.
Fifteen tiny crocheted pumpkins, a little green yarn, some twine, and a bit of time can turn into the sweetest little fall decoration. šš§”
You could even make these pumpkins in different colors cream, mustard, rust, brown, or even a soft sage green would be beautiful for a farmhouse or cottage-style fall display.
And you know me⦠I'm always looking for little ways to turn simple craft supplies into something cute and useful! š§¶āØ
