I absolutely love creating with paper—especially when I can rescue old, damaged books and give them a brand-new purpose. Just look at these beautiful paper tulips! They’re made from upcycled book pages and are such a charming way to decorate for spring or any season.
Supplies You’ll Need:
18–20 book pages
Scissors
Hot glue gun & glue sticks
Skewers, thin branches, or floral stems (you can even reuse stems from faux flowers)

Let’s Make These Beautiful DIY Tulips:
Gather your supplies and start by folding each book page in half. I used 20 pages for this project.

Here’s the pattern I made .
Trace your tulip pattern onto the folded edge of the paper. Since your page is folded, you’ll only need to trace half of your tulip shape.

It should look like this!

Cut out your tulip shapes and unfold them. You should have full tulip petals once opened.

Stack all your tulip cutouts together. This will make your flower nice and full!

So you should have this .
This is a pretty quick and easy project!

Using your hot glue gun, zigzag glue across the edge of the petals.

Add your skewer or floral stem into the glued area, then press to secure.
Add a little extra glue along the back to help hold the petals open and give your flower some shape.

And just like that—you have your very own upcycled paper tulip! These are so pretty and easy to make, you’ll want to create a whole bouquet.

Once you start you will want to make several!
You can leave them in their natural book page look or add a soft wash of watercolor for a pop of color—totally up to you!
I even added a few other paper flowers I made to mix in with these and I love how the bouquet turned out. It’s such a sweet and affordable way to brighten up your home!
