Paper made from Egg Cartons

I have seen this done before and I have always wanted to create my own paper !

So I did ! I love sending special notes along with any orders I get through my local or online sales.

I love all my customers and I always want them to know how appreciative I am !

So I thought this was a perfect way to do so !

I think you will love creating this paper to!

Supplies you need:

• Egg Carton (the paper kind)

• water

• a container big enough to pour everything in

• canvas frame

• piece of screen ( you can use one of those round grease screens that Dollar General sells for $1 you just need to cut the screen out .

• stapler

• blender

I removed the canvas from the frame but I really only used one frame.

I cut my screen and then stapled it all the way around.

I used a heavy duty stapler.

This is what your screen should look like when you are done.

My frame is 5”w x 7”L

So pretty much with one carton you will need about 5 jars of water .

I used a mason jar . 16oz

I used warm water .

I let the carton set in the water for a little while to help it desovle a little bit before putting it in a blender.

I put it in my blender and blended everything real well if you feel like you need more water then add some in .

I then poured everything into my container.

It’s going to get a little messy but it’s all fun ! 🤩

Dip your screen in the mixture then pull it out . Have your area ready to start laying your sheets down.

I took some absorbent towels and pressed down on the paper to get all the extra moisture out.

Then I flipped over the screen and carfully removed the sheet of paper.

It should look like this .

My sheets measured about 5 “ L x 4” W

Then I took my towel again and removed more moisture out of it .

I went ahead and put them outside in the sun to spend up the drying time.

You can just let them dry over night.

Once they were dry I trimmed them a little by gently pinching any pieces that were to long around the edges.

I painted this pretty flower on this piece!

One eggs carton gave me about 12 sheets of paper!

I absolutely loved making this paper!

These would also make really cool journals!
