Snowman made with a clay pot!

Updated: Aug 22

I love this time of year even though we still have hot days because well we live in Texas ! šŸ¤£

But in the crafting world itā€™s Fall! šŸ‚šŸ which also means creating for winter too!

I love snowmen and this one was so much fun to create !

I love seeing it come to life !

From an old clay pot , to this beautiful centerpiece!

Hereā€™s the Supplies you need:

ā€¢ Clay pot

ā€¢ White paint or Distress Crackle Paste

ā€¢ Orange paint ,Red paint, Black paint (I used acrylic)

ā€¢ Dixie Belle brown wax or Brown paint

ā€¢ greenery

ā€¢ embellishments of your choosing

ā€¢ ribbon, raffia

ā€¢ glitter

ā€¢ hot glue

ā€¢ plastic container

ā€¢ plastic plate

ā€¢ cinnamon

ā€¢ minwax varnish (satin)

Once you gather your materials you are ready to create your Snowman!

My clay pot was painted red already so I decided to leave the red .

I took my crackle paste and gave it one coat of it .

I let it dry completely!

While my clay pot was drying I started working on his hat !

I got my plastic container and paint it black .

Then I painted my little plastic plate .

You can now see the crackle on my clay pot ! I just love that chippy look!

Once my hat dried I glued it to the top of my clay pot!

I painted some cheeks on him and painted a nose !

I then gave him his eyes mouth and eyebrows!

This is a very easy face to paint !

I know you can do it !

I wanted his hat to be grungy so I added a little cinnamon then cover it with varnish.

Now to dress up his hat a little!

You can use any greenery you have ! This was actually from a garland I had .

I love this ribbon it was perfect for the band around his hat !

I used a little bit of greenery for that festive touch!

I love creating quick and easy whimsical bows ! I had this checkered ribbon and some of this raffia so it worked out well!

This little snow baby was a perfect little touch for the bow !

When I donā€™t have Snow Tex I love using Spackling!

It works perfectly!

I then sprinkled diamond dust glitter on him!

I did also add just very little Dixie Belle wax to his face here and there!

I just love him ! Donā€™t you?
