Super simple Sun Catchers

Updated: Jun 5

What can I say I love flowers and making these Sun Catchers was a perfect combination of enjoying them around my window welcoming in the Summer months!

They are so quick and easy to make you will enjoy every minute of this creation!

Here’s the Supplies you will need :

• clear plastic sheets ( you can use salad containers, yogurt lids anything that’s clear )

• dried or silk flowers

• small clothes pins

• scissors

• Hot Glue

• Mason jar lid or any thing you want to use for your circle pattern

• sharpie

• glitter

• Rub n Buff (gold leaf )

Once you gather your supplies you are ready to start .

Trace your circles out .

I used a large Mason jar lid for my pattern.

You can use the clear plastic sheet that sometimes comes in a picture frame .

This plastic I used was from a package I had with some patterns I had .

Once I cut them out I did used some rubbing alcohol to wipe off the sharpie marks .

I didn’t do it with the first one but I did do it with the second one I made.

I do recommend it .

I then positioned my flowers on my circle.

I added a little dot of hot glue to each one so they didn’t move around.

I then sprinkled a little glitter on it .

I then added my second circle gluing with hot glue as I went around the circle edge .

Add a little at a time you want to make sure it seals and you want it to look nice and neat .

After that I used a little Rub n Buff ( gold leaf) and went over the glue this really gave it the finishing touch .

Look how pretty!

That’s it I love these !

This is a perfect project to do with the Kiddos especially since some are already on summer break !

I didn’t punch a joke in them because I wanted to use these tiny clothes pins to hang them with .

But you can totally make a hole if you want to .

You can punch a hole in them with a hole punch before you put them together.

I absolutely love how these Sun Catchers made with clear plastic sheets came out !

It amazes me how something so simple can come to life and be transformed into these beautiful Sun Catchers !

These are perfect to hang anywhere especially around your windows !

Or imagine a seasonal tree with all these on it ! How beautiful that would be ! .

This is so easy and budget friendly!

I hope you give this a try.

I know you will love this project as much as I do!
