I live in the woods so I am so blessed to see so many beautiful birds daily!
I love taking time to just sit down with a awesome cup of coffee in the morning and watch them fly all around!
They frequent the feeders I have out for them .
Along with all the wild berries that are growing around us!
So creating little birds brings me so much Joy!
Like this little cutie you are about to create! 😀
Supplies you will need
• Cardboard
• a piece of material
• needle and thread
• bead for the eye
• wire
• hot glue
• Ivory paint
• Dixie Belle brown wax or brown paint

I had a piece of material that I had already coffee dyed .
You can use any material you want for your wing.

I took my cardboard and freehanded a circle for the body my bird when fished is about 4” from beak to tail.
My circle was about 2”.
Don’t over think this .
You can even use a lid for your circle pattern.

This is such an easy bird to create .

I then peeled a layer of paper off the cardboard leaving some of it behind.

I cut my wings out since I was doing two birds I cut out two wings .
My wing is about 1” long.

I then took my needle and my thread I had some beige embroidery thread that’s what I used and did a simple running stitch around it.

Easy Peasy !

I took some ivory paint and gave my bird a little color.

Once it was dry I glued my wing on.

I cut two small triangles for their nose.

I glued the nose on .
I then used a small piece of wire and created two simple legs and glued those on.

I used a long strip of cardboard and cut very thin narrow strips for the tail.

I folded the strips in half and then glued it on.
I did curl a few of them with the edge of my scissors.
I got my little bead and glued his eye on.
I also used my wax to grunge up the body, the nose and the tail . Because you know me I love that look!

That’s it !
Here they are!
How adorable are they !
So much fun to create !
