Updated: Mar 16, 2023

Hi everyone! If you love to be outside like I do you will love this idea! I’m always looking fir ways to add lights to my yard! I just absolutely love the look and feel of Twinkle Lights.....really any type of lights it all just makes me happy! I even have a miniature Chandelier in my Chicken Coop too! I’m always on the hunt for beautiful glass pieces I can use to transform into lights! So I was really thrilled when I discovered this fun project! Even my mother Inlaw is on the hunt for unique pieces I can use as well! It’s funny she will say hey I found something you can use for your Mushrooms! She has an excellent eye for finding all sorts of treasures too! It’s just so much fun to add them here and there in your yard, under trees or in your flower beds! I even added some to my Veggie Garden beds! You will love the glow it gives out! This is such a must DIY for you! I absolutely think you will love it too! There are so many ways to add lights into your yard and this is the easiest and most inexpensive way to do it!

I usually find a lot of my pieces at resale shops, thrift stores, Walmart, Family Dollar, Dollar General, Yard sales, Antique shops..... there are countless places to look!

So let me show you how I put mine to! So here we go.....

The supplies you will need for this are:

  1. Glass vase

  2. Glass bowl

  3. Solar lights

  4. E6000 glue

Once you have your supplies you are now ready to make some Glass Mushrooms! These are super easy to do and pretty much anyone can do these!

Once you know where you are going to put them you will need to make a hole then insert the solar light !

I purchased these lights at Family Dollar....

make sure your light is flush to the ground this is going to allow the base of your mushroom to create a nice full glow!

Next you will place your vase over the Solar Light... You will do this by placing the open end of your vase over the solar light....

Be sure that your vase is secure in the ground and level.

Now you will place a good amount of the E6000 glue to the top of your vase. The E6000 glue is what is going to secure the glass bowl to the vase!

Then you just put your bowl over your vase and that’s it you now have a Beautiful Solar Mushroom! You can make these in a variety of sizes.... I love using different size vases and bowls to form a cluster of different heights!

These are so pretty in the day but they look amazing at night! Once the sun goes down you will see your Mushrooms come to life all a glow! They are so pretty! These are such a awesome addition to your yard decor! I hope you gives this amazing DIY a try! I know you will love them as much as I do !
