No sew Sunflowers

love Sunflowers !

These are so much fun to make .

They require no sewing so it’s pretty simple to put them together!

You need very little supplies.

I’m sure you probably have everything you need at hand.

Supplies I used

• Mason jar rings and lids I used a small and a large size

• materials of your choice

• hot glue

• two branches

• artificial leaves

• cinnamon

• Elmer’s clear glue

• glitter

scissors

• Dixie Belle wax brown or brown paint

I cut 35 strips of material for the large sunflower.

They measured 1 inch x 9 inch’s

I then tied them around the ring.

I tied them tightly all around.

This is what you should have when you are done.

I then cut a circle from the material I chose for the middle .

I then glued the material on the lid .

I used the small lid to go in the center of the large sunflower.

It should look like this .

I then used my Dixie Belle Wax to grunge the flower up .

I of course love that look !

You can skip this step if you don’t like it .

I then began working my second flower .

I cut 34 pieces for this flower my material was thin because I chose cheese cloth so it required that many . This is the smaller flower.

The measurement for the strips were 1”x 7” long.

I tied them on the ring all the way around.

Make sure it is nice and full.

I chose the material for the center .

I glued it down.

With this flower I added a little batting and then glued my smaller lid on top .

I decided to cover the silver lid with a piece of brown paper .

I glued it directly on top of the lid.

I then used my Elmer’s glue and spread alittle on the front of the flower and then sprinkled a little cinnamon for that added grunge goodness!

Soooo cute!

While it was still wet I also sprinkled a little diamond dust glitter.

I then found two branches in my yarn and I got some artificial leaves from some flowers I had .

I glued the branches on the back use plenty of glue for this step .

Then I glued my leaves on !

I love these flowers!

Look how beautiful they are !

They look so pretty just about anywhere you decide to display them !

These beauties are so quick and easy to create !

I hope you give them a try.

I know you will love them too!
