I love everything about Fall ! All the cozy feels that it brings!
I also enjoy incorporating nature into my creating when I can !
This was a perfect little project to do just that !
I live in Texas so our leaves changing colors doesn’t happen as quickly as those of you that are blessed with being in locations that have all those spectacular colors!
But that doesn’t stop me from making it happen here for me ! 🤣🍁
Here’s the Supplies I used !
• wooden circle
• leaf from my yard
• book page
• Dixie Belle wax in Brown
• clear Elmers glue
• twine
• Red ,Orange , and Brown acrylic paint
• Rub n Buff ( Golden Leaf )
• scissors
• hot glue
Once you gather your items you are ready to get busy !
I first painted my wooden circle Brown ( Burnt Umber) is the brown I alway love to use !
I painted the front and sides .
The wooden circle I got at Family Dollar for $1.25
I usually always try to have a few of them on hand !
I traced a circle out of my book page using my wooden circle as my guide .
I love using Elmers clear glue but you can use whichever glue you like .
Mod Podge works well too.
I glued my circle down .
Once that was drying I started working on my leaf with the colors I have here .
I also used Red .
I painted my leaf since my own leaves in my yard are not changing yet .
You can also use a artificial Fall leaf if you don’t have any natural Fall leaves in your yard yet also .
It’s your choice.
Once my leaf was dry I glued it to my wooden sign .
I pulled out my Rub n Buff and added a touch of it to it .
Remember a little of this goes a long way !
Actually before I glued my leaf on I sanded my edges I forgot to take a picture of that .
But look how beautiful it looks !
I just love it!
I also took a little of my Dixie Belle wax in brown and grunged it up a little !
For the last step I glued a twine bow on it !
There you have !
I just love that little touch of Fall 🍁 it so darn pretty!
